Special 45 Minute Balloon Flight & Champagne breakfast
Special 45 minute Gold Coast Balloon Flight followed by champagne breakfast.
After meeting all our passengers at the 5 star Palm Meadows Golf Resort, Gooding Drive, Carrara we get into our vehicles and head off to the balloon launch site that the pilot has selected for your flight. Complimentary transfers from your Gold Coast accommodation are available to all Gold Coast visitors. We have 20+ launch and landing sites scattered around the Gold Coast area and one will have been selected based on the wind and weather observations that have been carried out by the pilot that morning.
A welcoming tea, coffee and biscuits are provided at the balloon launch site and you can assist the balloon crew prepare the balloon for flight. Once aboard the wicker basket, your magical flight begins, floating for 45 minutes with the breezes 1,500 – 2,000 feet above the Gold Coast. The launch is so gentle you will not even realise you have left the ground. The peace and gentleness of ballooning will surprise you and the views are outstanding. This is the most amazing way to see the marvellous Gold Coast area.
Our special remote control "flying"camera, suspended from the balloon envelope, will take pictures before, during and after the flight, which can be viewed on our laptop computer during breakfast. The pictures (10 – 20) can then be downloaded onto a CD, which is available for purchase for $25 during breakfast. Balloon Down Under flight caps can also be purchased for $15 .
After the flight and balloon pack-up we enjoy a bottle of cool water and then it's back to Palm Meadows Golf Resort to their Lakeview Restaurant for a delicious champagne breakfast - lots of breakfast, lots of champagne and/or orange juice. We sit outside under the umbrellas overlooking the lake and the golf course - it's a lovely setting and the perfect place to sit back and savour your balloon flight experience. During breakfast with the pilots and balloon crew we'll show you our photograph albums of ballooning from around the world.
And we also have a short ceremony when we explain the history of hot air ballooning and why it is we have champagne after each balloon flight. This is followed by the blessing of all the new “balloonatics” and presentation of your personalised flight certificates - lots of fun and laughs. Approximately 4 hours after the start you'll be on your way home with some wonderful memories of a very special morning.
